Okay so I know I'm the worst blogger of all time, but I promise this post will make up for my weeks and weeks of neglect!
This weekend we went to Florence! Let me give you guys a Reader's Digest version of the greatness of this city:
Florence is the capital of Tuscany. Just under 400,000 people live within the city, but over 1.5 million live in the surrounding area {so it's pretty big}.
Ever hear of the Medici family? Ya know, the powerful 14th and 15th century bankers/patrons of the arts who ruled Italy and pretty much all of Europe? Well all of that went down in Florence. So yeah Florence is full of history and art and amazing museums {like the Uffizi...which I went to!}
Also, Florence is famous for a few things like Michelangelo's David {Yes, you know the one}, leather, steak, and Brunelleschi's dome,
So yeah, Florence is really cool and we had a wonderful time.

| Most adorable toy store ever...it was fun :) {Also Pinocchio was written in Italia. Fun fact.} |
 |
| We got dressed up to go to a concert where they sang different Opera arias. It was to die for. |

| Is this not the cutest car you've ever seen? |
 |
| We also frolicked around H&M like adolescents. |

So yeah, that's Florence! It's only a 60 minute bus ride from Siena, so I will most likely be back.
Stay classy friends.
